Beginning my career in the Gresham Barlow School District in 1998, I was hired from Whitworth College in Spokane Washington to teach social studies and special education at Sam Barlow High School. In 2002 the opportunity to lead our special education program at the high schools presented itself and I moved to the district office as a teacher on special assignment. After four years as a TOSA, I earned my Masters Degree from Portland State University and became a school administrator serving the Office of Student Support Services until 2011. In 2011 I returned to Sam Barlow High School as an Assistant Principal and served that community until 2013. I was then presented with the opportunity to join the administrative team at Gresham High School and since 2013 have cherished the Gopher community and my service to it.
My main areas of responsibility include the wonderful and award winning Fine and Performing Arts of GHS, the amazing Career and Technical Education programs that exist here and our amazingly fantastic students who are identified with disability's under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to interact and support the students of the Gresham community and a really big thank you for the support provided in the passage of the 2016 Bond.
