Class of 2026 Senior Meeting Information

Use this page to review important senior information, graduation requirements, checkout steps, ceremony expectations, and end-of-year resources.

Important: Seniors must complete graduation requirements, finish senior checkout, attend graduation practice, and arrive on time for the graduation ceremony in order to participate.

Graduation Checkout
Checkout Timeline

Graduation checkout starts on May 28.

Checkout forms are due by 3:00 PM on June 1.

Graduation Ceremony Tickets

Requirements to Walk at Graduation
Required to Participate

In order to participate in the graduation ceremony, seniors must complete the following requirements.

  • Meet all requirements for a diploma.
  • Meet minimum credit requirements in each designated area, for a total of 24 credits.
  • Complete 2 CRLEs.
  • Complete the Extended Application.
  • Finish all credit recovery and current class work by May 29 at 2:30 PM.
  • Complete senior checkout and turn in forms by 3:00 PM on June 1.
  • Return textbooks, library books, Chromebook, calculators, and other school materials.
  • Pay any outstanding fees.
  • Attend graduation practice at Memorial Coliseum from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
  • Arrive at the graduation ceremony by 4:30 PM.
Graduation Ceremony Tickets
Ticket Information

Seniors will receive 10 graduation tickets with senior checkout.

Seniors may request up to 5 additional tickets.

Only ticketed guests may enter the building. A ticket is not required for small children seated on laps.

Additional ticket requests will be made through a Google Form shared with students.

Graduation Ceremony Expectations
Ceremony Details

Graduation Ceremony: June 9 at 5:00 PM

Location: Memorial Coliseum

Graduate Arrival: Seniors must arrive by 4:30 PM.

  • Graduates must wear a graduation cap and gown.
  • The uniformity of the cap and gown is part of the graduation tradition.
  • Students who need support obtaining a cap and gown should see their counselor.
  • Counselors will share tips on steaming and preparing graduation attire during class visits.
Cultural Attire & Cap Decoration
Attire Guidelines

Items of cultural significance honoring unique and diverse cultures may be worn.

Students who have questions about a cultural item should see a GHS administrator.

Cap Decoration Guidelines

Only the top of the cap, also called the mortar board, may be decorated.

  • Decorations must be 2D.
  • Decorations must follow the GBSD School Dress Code.
  • No QR codes are allowed on caps.
Graduation Practice
Practice Requirement

Seniors must attend graduation practice to participate in the ceremony.

Location: Memorial Coliseum

Time: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Arrival: Seniors should arrive by 7:45 AM.

Students who need transportation support should see their counselor about a TriMet pass. Practice parking is available near Memorial Coliseum.

Evening of Excellence
Scholarship & Award Recognition

Evening of Excellence honors seniors who have received scholarships and/or awards.

When: Monday, June 1 at 7:00 PM

Where: GHS Auditorium

Who: Seniors who have received scholarships and/or awards

Students should email Mr. White at white106@gresham.k12.or.us with the following information:

  • Full name of the scholarship awarded
  • Total amount of the scholarship
  • Whether the student plans to accept the scholarship

Please send scholarship information by Wednesday, May 20 at 9:00 AM.

Class of 2026 Photo
Class Photo

The Class of 2026 photo is scheduled for June 2.

  • Show up: it takes everybody.
  • Be ready: the photo will be taken after the grad walk in graduation gear.
  • Be appropriate.
  • Make sure only seniors are in the photo.

Senior Pranks & Games
Important Reminder

GHS does not sponsor any senior pranks or games.

Students should not use the school’s name or likeness on social media for senior pranks or games.

Participating in activities on campus and/or causing personal harm or property damage can result in a student being excluded from the graduation ceremony.

Senior All Night Party
Parent-Sponsored Event

The Senior All Night Party is not sponsored by or run by GHS.

Event: Senior All Night Party

Dates: June 7 - June 8

Cost: $75

Students interested in attending can look for information from GHS Senior Parents or visit the Senior All Night Party table during lunch.

Senior Survey from Mount Hood CC
Check Your Email

Students should check their email for the Senior Survey from Mount Hood Community College.

The survey may ask about:

  • SAT, ACT, or PSAT participation
  • AP or dual-credit courses
  • Athletics or activities involvement
  • Plans after high school
  • Career goals
  • College plans or possible barriers
  • Demographics and GPA
Free Summer Text Nudges
Stay on Track After Graduation

The Class of 2026 has worked hard to graduate and set plans for next year. Do not let those plans slip through your fingers.

Students can sign up for the ECMC FREE Summer Melt texting campaign, which supports students attending a 2-year college, 4-year college, trade program, or going directly into the workforce.

GHS Graduation Survey
Complete the Graduation Survey

GHS Counselors and ASB have created a graduation survey for seniors to complete.

The survey helps the school plan graduation and upcoming senior events. It includes questions about:

  • Interpretation for guests
  • Transportation to graduation practice
  • Middle school walkthrough bus selection
  • ADA/wheelchair access for guests
  • Scholarship recognition
  • Plans after high school
  • Food for the senior picnic, now changed to pizza
